Zen Vplus MP3 Player Instructions

The Zen V Plus is a portable MP3 player produced by Creative that comes in a variety of storage capacities, ranging from 1 to 16 GB. The device's features include a five-way navigation joystick, a scratch-resistant OLED screen and USB 2.0 connectivity. The V Plus is capable of playing files in variety of formats other than MP3, including WMA, WAV, ADPCM and Audible. The software that comes packaged with the Zen V Plus is capable of ripping the audio from your CDs and converting it into the appropriate media file.

Items you will need
-  USB cable
-  Installation software

Step 1
Turn on your computer and insert the installation CD that came packaged with your Zen V Plus. Launch the installer application and follow the onscreen instructions.

Step 2
Connect one end of the USB cable to the corresponding port located on the bottom edge of the MP3 player. Connect the remaining end of the cable to any unused USB port on your computer. Examine the MP3 player's display and confirm that the "charging" icon is active.

Step 3
Examine your computer's desktop and locate the icon labeled "Zen V Series Media Explorer." Double- click on the icon. Review the displayed options. Select "Rip Audio CDs" and follow the onscreen instructions if you wish you transfer music from an audio CD to your device. Select "Browse Media" to transfer over media files already stored on your computer.

Step 4
Wait until the transfer process is complete, then disconnect the USB cable from the device. Plug your headphones into the port located on the top edge of the player. Set the power switch, located on the left edge of the player, to the "on" position.

Step 5
Use the navigation joystick, located underneath the device's display, to select the option labeled "Music Library." Select the audio file you wish to play, then select the option labeled "Play."

Step 6
Use the "Play/Pause" button, located to the right of the navigation joystick, to pause or resume playback as desired. Use the volume adjustment buttons, located on the right edge of the device, to increase or decrease the playback volume. Set the power switch to the "off" position when you are finished.

Tips
It takes approximately six hours of charging to fully charge the device's battery.
When transferring files using the Browse Media option, you can also copy over pictures and video files; to view these files, select the appropriate option from the device's main menu.

Warnings
Do not disconnect the device before the transfer process is complete; otherwise, your files may be damaged.
