How to Install an MP3 Player
By Jason Gordon, eHow Contributor
First the Walkman, then the Discman, and now the MP3 player has taken over the world of portable music. Utilizing the advantages of digital music and storage technology like hard discs and flash memory, MP3 players come in many shapes, sizes, and styles. Luckily they all function similarly.
Instructions
1. Power on the computer. Connect the charged MP3 player to the computer via its docking station or USB cord. Power on the MP3 Player. A popup bubble should indicate the player is installing. Most MP3 players are plug-and-play compatible.
2. Install the software. If the MP3 player does not automatically install, insert the software CD that came with the MP3 player to install it and any software package that came with it.
3. Check the installation by attempting to transfer files onto the player. Navigate to "My Computer" and open up the MP3 Player by double-clicking on its icon.
4. Drag MP3 files from your computer to the MP3 player's folder. When finished, disconnect the player from your computer by using the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the taskbar.
5. Unplug the USB Cable. Plug in the headphones, and listen for your music.
